When importing from Mendeley web importer, and assigned multiple tags(folders), only the first tag will be assigned, and all the remaining tags will be ignored.

Desktop-online sync issues
Hello,
For the past few months I haven't been able to sync my Mendeley Desktop (which I keep open permanently and add my files to) with Mendeley Web. I've checked I am logged into the same account on Desktop and Web. The error message I get when I try to sync (from Mendeley Desktop) is:
"There was a problem connecting to mendeley.com to sync your library: Network access is disabled"
When I go to Connection Settings, it gives me an option for proxy type, server, port, username and password. I've tried playing around with these settings with no success, so i'm not sure if this is part of the issue or if it is something else.
I would like to resolve this issue as I worry about losing the papers i've collected and the notes i've made with them if my computer ever crashes.
Any support would be greatly appreciated.

The extension used to allow me to add to Mendeley, but now it doesn't open but asks me to sign in. When I click on the sign in, it doesn't let me.

Highlight feature trouble
Hi,
I'm using you're service since two week and that's awesome!
But I'm getting trouble using the highlight tool on Mendeley Web (with latest Chrome version). Depend of the pdf, but one the most of them, it highlight the wrong part I would like to select.
On the desktop app, everything seems fine.
The web interface it's awful in my opionion and that's too bad this feature misfunction!

Hi there
I installed the mendeley software and I want to install web importer.
For this purpose I open the mendeley Desktop and I go to tools than I tap on the Install web importer. therefor opened a new tab and i select the Firefox and download the web importer, but the tool do not added to my page. Whats the problem.

Can't access my library
It will not allow me to access my library. I can't get rid of the page that says, Welcome to your Mendeley Library. It covers my library and I can't access all my articles. What I'm I suppose to do? I see the library behind this welcome screen but the welcome screen won't go away.

Re-link files to entries from sorted library folder?
I have all the PDF documents for my reference entries saved and organised by Mendeley in a library folder, sorted by author, year etc. using only Mendeley's own sorting system.
For some reason, most of my entries in my Mendeley app 'lost' their file a while ago. I'm not sure if this was because I installed it on a new laptop (I did back-up and sync everything correctly) or if that's related to issues with the latest update I have read about, e.g. here: http://support.mendeley.com/customer/portal/questions/17159462-lost-downloaded-pdf-files
The files are also gone from my Web library and from my Mendeley app on my old laptop.
In any case: I still have all the files on my computer in a backup folder and they are still sorted the way Mendeley sorts them. My question is: Is there a way to make Mendeley realise that all these files are there and add them back to their entries in Mendeley?
I have tried simply copying the folders and files into the Mendeley library folder, but Mendeley doesn't seem to recognise that the files are there. If I take a file and drop it into Mendeley, it adds it as a new entry (plus all my annotations are gone). Please tell me there is a way to have this done automatically, such as 'Import files from library' or something … I don't want to re-link over 1.000 documents to their entry manually and re-do all my marking and annotations. :S
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Desde hace unos días Web importer de Mendeley no funciona bien con Google Scholar. En algunas ocasiones recupera una única referencia del listado y en otras no encuentra ninguna.
Recientemente ha habido algún cambio en Google Scholar para España. ¿Puede deberse a esto?

How can I remove a WRONG co-author from my co-author list? Can this be done at all? I saw a few questions raised on how to correct or remove errors in the co-author list, but I CANNOT SEE ANY real ANSWER. Can someone or the Mendeley SUPPORT TEAM answer this question? If it cannot be done, then simply say so - PLEASE.

Searching a shared library
Hi,
I wish to search a mendeley library that has been shared with me via the web. However I am not sure of the search syntax to use. Is boolean searching supported? Are truncated searches supported? If I wish to search for an exact phrase should I put the phrase in quotation marks?

Mendeley Web Importer Isn't Reading Any Google Scholar Links
I've tried the web importer on both Firefox and Chrome, but it doesn't read any of the results on Google Scholar, instead it shows an error that says "Bibliographic metadata could not be detected. Create metadata below to enhance the quality of this resource."

Web login suddenly won't work
I decided to change my password as a routine security measure. I required the reset email and got it. I entered my new password online. To this point, everything was good.
The new password is not accepted. I repeated this several times direct with Mendeley with the same results. I did this with my password manager enabled and disabled. No difference. I then decided to try creating Elsevier credentials in case the older Mendeley accounts were somehow disabled. This did not help and I still can't log in.
Questions:
1) Is there a temporary problem (8 PM Pacific, 10/12/2017)?
2) How many times can I try without being locked out?
3) Other ideas?
By the way, starting the desktop software now fails with "near ":id": syntax error".

Cannot open CSL editor
I want to edit my citation style so that different articles from the same year and who have the authors with same surname (but not the same authors) can be cited in-text as Cheng et al., 2000a and Cheng et al., 2000b. I'm using the Elsevier Harvard 2 style, and it's instead citing the in-text as G. Cheng et al., 2000 and J. Cheng et al., 2000.
I tried to open the CSL editor but I can't get the page to open. When I click on 'edit citation style' in Mendeley, it redirects me to the authorization page in Chrome. If I fill in my details and click 'authorize', nothing happens. I have confirmed that my login details are correct and have disabled the ad blocker, I have restarted chrome and Mendeley and tried multiple times to no avail.
Any other suggestions?
CSL editor has worked for me in chrome previously so it can't be that...

Can't log in on Chrome
I can't log in to my account on the Google Chrome web browser. I can on Firefox. This is very annoying, what's going on?
When I try to log in on Chrome, it says:

Good Morning:
I'm a student of the UOC. I'm using this platform and my teacher told me that i can to use the premium/institutional version. I selected the "Join this group" (Universidad Oberta de Catalunya) and the automatic system told my "We'll send you a missatge in your email adress". This was yesterday, today i don't have this privilege yet.

author field remains empty when exporting
Hi,
when I attempt to 'direct export' something on sciencedirect.com, all article details except the author details are exported to my library. Author field remains empty. Happens with all articles. I tried signing in and out of mendeley web and reinstalling mendeley desktop, still the same.
Exporting to RIS and drag and drop into mendeley desktop does work fine.
